Final draft of double page spread

Now that I have changed the background and added more text I feel that the overall page is much more presentable. I have also added four images to the page. as well as these changes I have also added contact details for the magazines "social networking sites" I feel this adds a bit bit more realism to the overall piece.
Above are the before and after shots of the four images I used in my middle page spread. I simply used the quick selection tool to remove the back ground on all except for the bottom left pictures and then adjusted the contrast and brightness so that the quality was then improved, after that I finally used the skin correction tool to improve the skin of the model removing any spots or blemishes.

I am happy with the overall page and am happy to say that it is finished, I have applied all of the necessary skills and applied knowledge that I have learnt in and out of the class room from theories to knowledge that I have learnt from trial and error.

After looking at my 6th draft I have realised that the background is too dark and needs to be lighter. I think I will put a faded black to grey background in instead of a plain black one. When I printed the page I realised that the there wasn't enough text and the text was also too large.
As well as these two issues I have also decide on changing the main image as I feel it lacks any skill and is fairly limiting.
In my next draft I will have a complete page with the ammendmants mentioned here.

6th draft

As mentioned in the last post I have now changed the font size and color of the questions in the interview to make the differentiation clearer between questions and answers. I have chosen to increase the font size by two and change the colour to one of the house colours of yellow, this had made the questions stand out, but not in a way that makes it obtrude the rest of the page, due the choice of colour the text fits into the page and withholds the magazines identity.
I have also added a border around the second picture in the top right of the page, as mentioned earlier the picture needed something to tie it into the page I feel that this border does so and in turn adds to to the magazine identity using the style of shape that I have used throughout the magazine pages.

5th draft

In this draft I have written the full responses to the interview questions, again the tone is informal and of a conversation style. The conversation style of the interview makes easy reading because it is easy to follow and it also makes it more personal and the reader  will find it much easier to understand and relate to. I have tried to make the answers as realistic as possible, I reinforced this by showing the rough answers to the questions that I had already made when planning to a friend and then asked them to answer the question using the answer but delivering it in their own way, when they responded I noted their answer and I added in some extra parts and then from this I had my answer to the questions. I feel that the questions and answers work well and make an interesting read.
In my next draft I will need to work on the font colour or size to make the differentiation between the question and answer easier.

4th draft

In this draft I have added a shadow to the masthead text to add depth to the writing and to lift it off of the page, the shadow gives this effect because the yellow text hovers above it. By doing this I have made it standout more and hopefully this should catch the readers eye easier, this will be particularly useful for when people are flicking through the magazine because it will draw their eyes and they may then read it.
I have also added a coverline in the bottom right corner informing the reader that the artist's (Route-A's) tour dates are on the next page, I have also used the shadow on "Tour Dates" to make it standout from the rest of the page.
